WOO HOO! :iconexplodelaplz:

This is what I've spent the better part of my day working on, the next generation CSR! :D

The original CSR was a Ford Mustang V6 Convertible, and a present for my mom's birthday showing her what can be done to her car on a low budget, as well as one of my first uploads here. The CSR letters are her initials.

This time around, 4 years later she's got the '11 Charger R/T. And with that, a new CSR is born, less on realism and possibility and more of a true XDesign vehicle.

Changes are visually minimal, with a trunk leading-edge spoiler, the faux vents in the hood made real, shaved door handles and of course the custom front bumper for the sake of swallowing air. However, this car is set apart with a special muscle-sedan style with some unique tricks. For example, the lower lip of the bumper isn't plastic, but rather an aluminum piece finished in matte black. And the most obvious addition is a custom-made police pushbar mounted to the front, a nod to my stepfather who bought the car for my mom. LED lights are built in, white strobes and amber turn signals.

Performance-wise the engine is less focused on outright power and more on racing durability. Forged pistons and rods, titanium vavesprings and sodium-filled valves, and a mid-range cam setup allows it to rev hard and last long. ECU mapping, a cold-air intake and titanium exhaust bring horsepower from 370 to around 410.

Sadly I did screw up a spot or two that I'm well aware of. The worst of which are the wheels, which I botched pretty badly. ^^; They're Alcoa forged-aluminum wheels, the same as the Challenger SRT8. Oh, and the shift across the paper is from stitching 2 scans together, the paper was too big for the scanner. ^^;

Oh well, I'm damn happy with the design, and I know my mom will too.
